Objectives:

  • Identify positive impacts of engaging in developmental care practices
  • Identify strategies to minimize stress for our vulnerable infants and infuse the developmental care
    practices in your daily work
  • Identify appropriate strategies for developmental care related to taste and smell
  • Identify appropriate strategies for developmental care related to vision and sound
  • Identify appropriate strategies for developmental care related to touch and positioning

Criteria for Awarding Contact Hours:  Participants who successfully complete the entire activity and complete an evaluation form will earn 2.75 contact hours.

University of Chicago Medicine is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation
