Perinatal Center

Target audience is registered nurses working OB, PP/MB, NB Nursery, Level 0, I, II, and IIE nurseries with clinical experience/tenure of 2 weeks.  RN must work in the IL Perinatal Network.

Course Objective: Be able to understand and describe fundamentals of newborn assessment and care as it
relates to a comprehensive review of body systems and conditions affecting the newborn.

University of Chicago Medicine is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for Awarding Contact Hours:  Participants who successfully complete the entire and complete a post-text and an evaluation form will earn 7.75 contact hours.
